2024 SUMMER TOURNAMENTS
Throughout the Summer, Fall and Winter, Grizzlies identify tournament options for players looking to take their game to the next level. This summer we have identified three tournaments: one local and two in Orange County. Each tournament comes with 3 local practices in Santa Barbara to prepare for the event.
Selection for Grizzlies tournament team players is by your high school coach's recommendation or by invitation directly from Grizzlies Directors and Coaches. Players will be placed on either the Black (highest level) or the White team. Our Grizzlies White Team players are typically younger and an ability level lower than Black but are looking to improve and make larger contributions in the future to their high school teams.

PLAYER FEES
EXPLAINED
Cost per player per tourney varies and is dependent on our roster size, tournament location, and the cost the event charges to participate in it. The Player Fee helps to pay for our tournament team entry fee, coaching stipends, their travel expenses (gas, food, flight, etc) and Club administrative costs to organize for each event. Each tournament has 4-5 total games: usually 2-3 games on Saturday and 2-3 on Sunday.
Paying the full player fee for all events upfront is preferred and appreciated.
DEPOSITS
SHOW YOUR COMMITMENT
A $150 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your place on the team for each tournament. This deposit helps to pay the team deposit or in some cases, the entire team fee which guarantees our spot in an event. The remainder of the player fee is expected to be paid no later than 3 weeks before the event. By paying the full fee early and on time, this gives us adequate time to hunt down free agents if need be to round out positions of need to ensure we are competitive.
LODGING
ON THE ROAD
For Tournaments that are out of town, families are responsible for securing and paying for their own lodging. If a parent would like to take the lead on organizing a hotel where everyone can stay at, please let me know. Otherwise Grizzlies will not get involved with the logistics of where everyone stays as family budgets vary.
